The Art Déco, style and model of aesthetic taste widespread in Europe and the United States between the “roaring twenties” and the thirties of the twentieth century, owes its name to the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts (“Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes “), held in Paris in 1925, which led to the beginning of this new phenomenon.
Eclectic and innovative style, it absorbs different influences and mixes to propose them in a contemporary way in opposition to the classic decorative repertoire.
Characterized by symmetrical and elegant shapes, essential geometries and plasticity in the figures, this artistic movement involves not only the decorative arts, managing to give new impetus to the sector of design of objects and furniture, but also architecture and fashion.
The furniture in Art Déco style are elegant and refined, precious also in the choice of materials (lacquer, inlaid wood, stainless steel, aluminium, coloured glass).
The shades play with the contrasts between black and white, combined with golden inserts, chrome and mirrors.
Thus was born one of the most interesting decorative styles of the century, which is still a source of inspiration for contemporary design, especially for the interiors.
And here, always looking for originality and driven by the desire to propose to our customers sophisticated designs, we have added trendy designs in Art Déco style to our collections.
