Our History
The industrial activity of Borsa Industrie Plastiche S.r.l. , a family-run business company, began in the early 1900s in Busto Arsizio in the province of Varese. Its founder, Chevalier Carlo Borsa started with the production of parts and accessories for textile machines, sector which in those years was at the beginning of a prosperous period of a great economic development. Over the years, thanks to the experience and strong will of the son Roberto, the productions have developed and transformed to satisfy new demands and market changes, specializing in the plastics industry.
At the beginning of the 1970s, two companies were created:
- PLASTOPRINT: specialized in the production of vinyl-tablecloths, plasticized tablecloths, personalized prints and laminated fabrics also for third parties.
- CARLO BORSA: specialized in the production of polyvinylchloride sheets (PVC-P) for construction industry and civil engineering (synthetic waterproofing membranes).
In 2006, the two companies were merged, creating the BORSA INDUSTRIE PLASTICHE S.r.l., located in the Southwest Industrial Zone of Busto Arsizio, in the province of Varese, whose production site covers an area of 10.000 square meters.
